Tyler Perry Involved in L.A. Collision

Tyler Perry was involved in a car accident on Wednesday night, 15 December, just moments after leaving Burbank Airport in Los Angeles, California.

The 52-year-old “Madea” creator was driving his Bentley homeward, through Sherman Oaks, when the collision occurred.

A source close to the actor said: “The other driver cut across three lanes of traffic, right across [Perry’s] path, and unfortunately his car hit her driver’s side.”

Fortunately, the accident wasn’t too serious – not enough to require police intervention – and both Perry and the other driver were unharmed. The unnamed woman admitted to her lapse in judgement leading to the fender bender; Both parties have agreed to resolve the matter privately.

Perry made “Madea” fans very happy when he announced in an Instagram video posted in June earlier this year that the character would be coming out of retirement for a Netflix film expected some time in 2022.

He said: “We need to laugh, man, too much is going on.”
